"Built" motor mileage shootout I am determining whether to stay the "stock" block/motor with all external mods and 550 rwhp or get a so called "built" motor. In my experience and from what i have seen, these built motors are just not lasting long, regardless of vender or builder..Well, lasting long enough for me...20k-40k is not alot imo...I also realize there are several factors to consider also like the "severity" of the build, cheap ass parts or proven parts, etc, etc. Please post up your motor build, builder and mileage because I doubt we will see anyone with say over 30k on a "built" motor with no issues...AND I MEAN NO ISSUES(Ie-bearing noise/replacement, bottom end issues, etc, etc..) Please let me know anyone with substantial mileage w 0 motor build issues because right now Im staying stock with the block, unless otherwise proven so I can get longevity and reliability and 550rwhp is acceptable. :) ..Thanks to tt.net..Love this forum..
